We focus to formulate and integrate policies and facilitate outcomes in the Maritime sector that will contribute to a national competitiveness and increase the economy and quality of life in Puntland.
We aim to be a pro-active and forward-looking by anticipating and responding to the needs of Puntlanders from the evolving changes in the Maritime Trade, Safety and Security and Maritime Environment passageways, both domestically and internationally.
We envision to develop Puntland into a vibrant maritime hub, where we offer superior global connectivity, high service levels for maritime-related activities and a comprehensive suite of maritime ancillary services including safe marine passageway and safeguarding of marine life
To strengthen Puntland regional and global connectivity and to develop the Maritime/Port sectors’ potential to advance our economic competitiveness and the quality of life in Puntland.
The mission of the Maritime & Ports Management of Puntland is to develop Puntland as a premier global hub port and the Horn Maritime Centre, and to advance and safeguard Puntland’s strategic maritime interests. This is also the driving force of Puntland’s ports and maritime development.
To create and build business environment for blue ocean economic development within Puntland maritime domain by establishing policies and regulations in maritime and port sectors, ensuring and responding the safety and security in maritime transport system, protecting marine environment, developing and maintaining aids to navigation and oversee the regulatory agencies of the ministry.
